Full Profile
Aozora Kurumi (青空くるみ) was a Malaysian VTuber associated with Project Kavvaii, the AirAsia-supported VTuber project launched from Southeast Asia. She was announced in May 2021 as the project's first talent and became the sole member of Project Kavvaii's first generation.
Her character concept centers on an apprentice messenger of Hermes who travels between worlds, discovers Earth, and becomes fascinated by idols and streaming. The profile is also remembered for her Cloud Palace setting and her pet Jetson, a white Munchkin cat often described as her son. Kurumi's birthday is September 18, her listed height is 158 cm, and the amphora-style emoji is one of the common visual identifiers tied to her profile.
Kurumi's debut stream took place in May 2021 and drew attention as AirAsia's first VTuber initiative. Her early profile emphasized multilingual reach: she was described as fluent in English, Mandarin, Hokkien, Cantonese and Korean, with some Malay and Japanese as well. That language range made her especially visible to viewers following Malaysian, Southeast Asian and English-language VTuber activity.
As a performer, Aozora Kurumi was known for a relaxed but lively streaming style. Her content mixed chatting, games, horror titles, Mobile Legends and karaoke, including unarchived singing streams across different languages. Interviews and community coverage often framed her as a bridge between a corporate Southeast Asian project and the wider VTuber fan scene, rather than only as a single-channel streamer.
Project Kavvaii later announced that Kurumi would graduate, and her activity ended on August 7, 2022. Today, searches for Aozora Kurumi usually connect three threads: AirAsia's Project Kavvaii experiment, her multilingual idol-and-messenger character, and her position as one of the early Malaysian corporate VTuber examples.
