Natsumi Moe, also known as 夏実萌恵, is an English-speaking VTuber whose public career spans the earlier Moe channel, Twitch streaming and the independent creative setting of Raven Manor. Her work includes edited videos, story-led games, virtual performances and educational and ASMR formats. Her own account of moving from performer to channel management gives her history a practical creative dimension alongside the fictional character.
An early English-language career
Moe's personal website dates her work on the shared Moe channel from 30 July 2018 to 1 November 2021. She describes joining a production involving Japanese translators and a manager, becoming self-manager by summer 2019, and continuing for another two years before finishing her role there. The dates in that account describe her period of work on a shared channel.
This matters when exploring her history: the creation date or later ownership of an older channel is not automatically the start of her personal performance. Her own chronology provides a clearer route through the different projects. At HYPER JAPAN ONLINE in 2021, the event introduction presented her as one of the early English-speaking VTubers and a variety streamer living in the United States.
Twitch and story-led performance
On her website, Moe says she began streaming on Twitch in 2019 and became a regular streamer around September that year. She records that streaming period as 2019–2023. Her description of the format emphasises story-based content with occasional conversation broadcasts.
The HYPER JAPAN introduction also describes ASMR VR360 scenarios, educational videos, game highlights and song covers. These formats give different entry points into her work: a scenario centres on performance, a highlight condenses a broadcast, and an educational video presents information through the same virtual identity. They help explain a creative range that extends beyond a schedule of individual games.
Raven Manor and the Victorian librarian
Moe dates the beginning of Raven Manor to May 2021, presenting it as a fresh start. The persona is a Victorian librarian interested in books, Sherlock Holmes and otome games. The manor is the fictional setting for her videos and community, rather than a claim about her real residence.
The Raven Manor channel describes itself as a home for Natsumi Moe and ReDacted's personal, gaming and potentially educational content. In the description of Re:Dacted, published on 5 September 2022, a diary and resurfacing memories introduce a narrative thread. The channel's character fiction gives the library and manor imagery a place beyond a profile illustration; it provides a setting for short creative works as well as game videos.
Models, artwork and production roles
The credits on Moe's website identify Pudizu for the 3D model, Kana Fuyuko for iPhone blendshapes, KaptivateTV for the normal Live2D artwork and muffimuffy for Live2D rigging. Separate credits name HoneyKudzuVT for chibi artwork, ErviRainee for Moe stingers and suiren_vt for Pajama Moe.
These are different production roles and presentations of the performer. A 3D model and a Live2D illustration use different methods, while a transition animation or an alternate outfit serves another purpose in a broadcast. The website also links a Booth shop for stream overlays and VRoid outfits. That link documents a creative outlet named by Moe; availability of individual shop items can change.
Music and appearances beyond her own channel
The Global VTubers Panel at HYPER JAPAN ONLINE 2021 included Moe alongside Tori Thaiga and performers from Shirayuri Production. The event also published a dedicated Natsumi Moe session. Both recordings provide historical starting points for her public appearances outside her regular channels. The session uploads are dated 7 August in YouTube's Pacific-time metadata; that timestamp is separate from an event's local schedule.
Her Potatoes and Molasses cover, published on 15 October 2022, offers a musical entry point. The description identifies the song as coming from Over the Garden Wall, thanks ManlyBadassHero for voicing a segment and credits Moe with the video editing. It is a cover performance with a credited guest contribution, rather than an original composition by Moe.
Goodnight and the indefinite pause
Goodnight was published on 30 May 2023. Its description leaves viewers with a message of kindness, credits Moe's editing and links her stream archive. The Raven Manor channel introduction says she is asleep and does not know when she will wake up. Together with the 2019–2023 streaming period recorded on her site, that supports describing this stage as an indefinite hiatus.
The wording does not provide a return date, and it does not announce that every form of creative activity has permanently ended. Her published work remains a way to explore the career. Raven Manor is the YouTube destination linked from her own website; the older @OtakuMOE address is a historical part of the shared-channel period and is currently unavailable.
