Juna Unagi is an English-speaking VTuber and singer whose eel character connects a lively streaming persona with a catalogue of original music, English-language covers and collaborative performances. Her work also includes visual production: individual video credits identify her contributions to music-video creation and puppeting. Understanding those credits gives a fuller picture of her career than treating every upload as simply another song or game stream.
EELP!: an eel arrives in E-Sekai
Juna's debut stream, “EELP!”, was published on November 20, 2022. Its introduction calls her idolEN's “dapper eel” and places her debut alongside Yuko Yurei, Rin Penrose, Pochi Wanmaru and Fuyo Cloverfield. The E-Sekai branding belongs to that original idolEN chapter. The description also scheduled a cover of “Usseewa” immediately after her introduction, making singing part of her public presentation from the beginning. Debut stream and original description
That debut is a useful historical anchor rather than a current agency roster. Her subsequent recordings and present creator storefront can be followed under Juna Unagi's own name. For the difference between an agency, a generation and a collaboration, see the affiliation guide. Another entry point into that early circle is Rin Penrose; a shared debut period does not mean their later careers follow identical paths.
HOMEOSTASIS: an original song with a creative brief
“HOMEOSTASIS,” published on October 11, 2023, is explicitly labelled an original song. Its credits name Fuminsho for music, Tetsuya Kazune for mixing, tuning and timing, Hoonkiah for illustration and VClaylien for the music video, with Juna providing vocals. The recording therefore belongs to her artistic catalogue without making her the sole composer or visual artist. Original song and production credits
In a subsequent interview, Juna explained the title through the idea of maintaining internal stability amid external change. She described conveying a musical mood to the producer and wanting the song to encourage self-expression. This provides an account of her creative direction beyond the upload date. VTuber NewsDrop interview
For a first listen, this is a stronger introduction to her own musical identity than a random recent stream. The difference between an original release, a cover and a concert recording is explained in the content formats guide.
English interpretations and work behind the images
Her November 22, 2023 version of natori's “OVERDOSE” uses English lyrics credited to Trickle. Kuroki handles mixing, tuning and timing, Khazubii supplies the illustration, and Juna is credited for both vocals and the music video. Listeners can therefore approach it as an English interpretation with a documented visual contribution from the performer. The lyrics are a collaborator's adaptation, not evidence that Juna wrote the original song. OVERDOSE and credits
The November 12, 2023 “VERTIN EP — UNEXPECTED STORM” recording provides a different example. Its Reverse: 1999 connection is explicit, and the description credits Juna with vocals and puppeting alongside separate illustration, music-video and audio contributors. That specific puppeting credit supports discussing her visual performance work; it does not establish that she rigged every model appearing on her channel. VERTIN EP recording
Reverse: 1999: returning to a game's music
“FRISCO,” published on January 18, 2025, extends that connection to Reverse: 1999. In her description, Juna thanks the game for reaching out to her to cover the song. It is a useful example of a game-related music opportunity described by the artist herself, rather than an affiliation inferred from a game's name in a title. FRISCO cover and description
The credits name Padoruu for art, Iza Machi for the video, Inverse for mixing and Juna for vocals. The linked original is a Version 2.0 special EP, while the upload description also promotes Version 2.2. Those are different contexts: the song's origin should not be moved to the later game update. Together, “VERTIN EP” and “FRISCO” offer a focused listening route for readers who encounter her through game music. Neither recording establishes that she voices a character in the game.
Duets, metal covers and a ten-voice ensemble
Juna's collaborations show how her voice operates in different arrangements. Her February 9, 2024 cover of “Zettai Tekitai Mecha Kiraiya” pairs her with Himemiya Rie; the description presents it as her first duet. The BABYMETAL cover “MEGITSUNE,” published on May 10, 2024, instead pairs her with Inami Yoki. These are identifiable performances with named partners, not interchangeable examples of “collaboration content.” Rie duet · MEGITSUNE with Inami Yoki
An English “Umapyoi Densetsu” cover uploaded by Elia Stellaria on October 30, 2025 credits ten vocalists, including Juna and Rin Penrose. The separate harmony, instrumental, illustration, mixing and video credits make clear that this was an ensemble production. Appearing in the same recording does not place all ten performers under one management group. Ensemble recording and full credits
Usseewa: from debut plans to a concert performance
“Usseewa” appears at two distinct points in her public record. The debut description scheduled a cover in 2022. A later English-version video, uploaded on April 29, 2025, identifies the performance with Kori's ISEKAI'D Concert and thanks Kori for the invitation. It credits Will Stetson for the English lyrics and identifies Ado's original. Concert performance recording
This is a meaningful way to follow continuity in her repertoire while distinguishing a debut release from a later event appearance. April 29 is the upload date of that recording; it should not automatically be treated as the concert's date. A concert invitation also says something different from a new agency contract or a permanent performing unit.
Later recordings and a game-related announcement
“PULL THE TRIGGER,” published on November 13, 2024, credits producer KAT, mixer Inverse, video creator Iza Bitch, artist Karetyauknife and Juna on vocals. It adds another fully credited recording to a listening route through her work. The description does not justify assigning all composition or production roles to the singer. PULL THE TRIGGER
Her March 3, 2026 video “I'm a character in a GAME?” directs viewers to Brother Ming's Re;Match project and thanks him for the opportunity. It documents a game-related announcement; the video alone does not establish a completed commercial release or a particular voice-acting role. On June 24, 2026, she published a cover of Aliyah's Interlude's “IT GIRL,” with separate art, video and mix credits. These are useful later reference points beyond a list of games recently streamed. Where to start and how to follow her work
Start with “HOMEOSTASIS” for an original release, “OVERDOSE” for an English reinterpretation with her own music-video contribution, and “FRISCO” for the Reverse: 1999 connection. The Rie duet and ten-voice “Umapyoi Densetsu” then provide contrasting examples of collaboration. This route follows creative roles and musical contexts rather than assuming the newest upload is the most representative.
Her YouTube channel is the direct place to check subsequent uploads and their individual credits. Her creator storefront supplies a separate merchandise destination, with availability that can change. Neither a shop listing nor an older debut description should be used on its own to invent current streaming schedules, sales totals or agency membership.
