Who is Inami Yoki?
Inami Yoki is an English-language VTuber whose creative work spans character storytelling, singing, illustration and live conversation. Her channel introduces a mysterious yokai with a complicated past and a mischievous approach to entertaining viewers. That premise gives her a recognisable character, but her catalogue offers several ways to get to know her: a produced music video, an art portfolio, a quiet ASMR stream or a longer gaming broadcast. Her own channel is the starting point for that range.
The useful distinction is between the character and the creator's credited work. The supernatural backstory belongs to the fictional presentation; the illustration commissions, vocal recordings and production credits describe public creative activities. Looking at both gives a fuller picture than reducing Yoki to either a spooky avatar or a list of games she has streamed.
Early broadcasts and the 2023 redebut
Her archived December 2021 debut carries the Cyberlive Gen 2 title and identifies the CyberAlter generation. Its description names Iekushi Chapipi, Menace Alchemilla, Kurohana Inori and Oumiya Emma as generation mates. This is the early group context preserved in her own archive, rather than a description of the current management of everyone named there.
The next substantial introduction is her July 2023 redebut. It offers a later entry into the same creator's presentation. The available upload explicitly says it was reuploaded to correct an audio-sync problem, so its publication timestamp should not be mistaken for a separate second redebut. For readers comparing eras, these two introductions provide a more meaningful route through her history than a month-by-month list of ordinary broadcasts.
Recorded covers: Absolute Zero and Megitsune
Her February 2025 version of “Absolute Zero”, the Natori song associated with WIND BREAKER, is a particularly useful introduction to her production work. Yoki is credited for both vocals and character design. Dingerbox handles the arrangement; Letro the illustration; Wakazhi animation and illustration; Nodame the movie and graphics; and Trevor Kittensky project management. The release is a cover with its own visual production, not an original composition by Yoki.
Another entry is “Megitsune” with Juna Unagi, published on Juna's channel in May 2024. Both singers receive vocal credits for the BABYMETAL cover, alongside ALBEDO for illustration, INVERSE for mixing and IZA MACHI for the music video. This pairing connects two creators through an identifiable recording. The Juna Unagi guide follows the other singer's originals, covers and visual work, making it a useful continuation after the duet.
Lore as a separate creative work
Yoki's September 2022 lore video credits 江藤 for art, retroviist for editing and Yoki herself for the voice. Its Aetheria hashtag preserves another piece of her early public context. More importantly for a new viewer, it provides a dedicated storytelling entry rather than requiring someone to reconstruct the character from isolated livestream jokes.
That division also makes the catalogue easier to navigate. A lore film introduces a fictional world; a debut or redebut introduces a live persona; a song places the voice inside a musical production. They can complement one another without serving the same purpose. Readers interested in another creator who separates character narrative from credited recordings can continue to Elia Stellaria.
A changing visual presentation and a named soundtrack
The new-outfit promotional video, published in June 2025, adds a later visual milestone. Its description credits the video to hunieday and the background music to DingerBox. A promotional upload is a useful record of the presentation itself; it should be distinguished from the date of any separate live reveal.
Music also appears outside vocal covers. “Yokai Talk”, uploaded in July 2023, presents a loop of Yoki's background music and names DingerBox in the title. For someone who recognises a stream's soundtrack, this gives it a searchable title and a direct listening destination. It is a different kind of work from the Natori cover: background music attached to the channel's atmosphere rather than a vocal performance of an existing song.
Illustration, portfolio and commissions
Her personal Carrd contains an illustration portfolio and commission information, making drawing part of her public creative practice beyond its appearance as a stream category. The published terms describe a sketch stage for major changes, a discussion of commercial use and a requirement to credit her work. Commission availability and prices can change, so the personal page is the appropriate place to check current arrangements.
A September 2026 drawing broadcast, titled “D-Drawing WHAT...?!”, provides a live-format counterpart to that portfolio. The recorded “Absolute Zero” credits offer a third perspective, identifying character design as one of Yoki's contributions to a specific release. Together these sources show illustration appearing as portfolio work, live content and a credited production role, rather than treating all three as interchangeable.
ASMR, conversation and the Yokaidachis community
The channel's playlist directory separates ASMR, covers, art teaching streams, lore and VODs. This organisation helps viewers choose a format before committing to a long broadcast. “Can't Sleep Without Me? (ASMR)”, from September 2026, is one clearly labelled example of the quieter listening route; the stream archive also contains conversation, drawing, singing and gaming titles.
Yokaidachis is the community name used in her channel's welcome material. Her own descriptions distinguish #InamiYoki for general posts, #Yokillust for fan art and #JustYokin for memes, with #YokiLIVE attached to broadcasts. These give newcomers practical ways to find community work. The chat rules also ask viewers to stay on topic, respect others and avoid sharing personal information, setting boundaries around the otherwise playful character.
Where to begin
Choose the 2023 redebut for a broad introduction, “Absolute Zero” for singing and credited visual production, “Megitsune” for a duet, or the Carrd portfolio for illustration. ASMR and longer conversational streams offer another pace once the character is familiar. This route follows the kinds of work she makes, rather than assuming that the newest upload will answer every reader's interests.
The VTuber content-format guide explains how these kinds of releases differ. The affiliation guide provides context for reading historical generation labels alongside later collaborations. For current viewing, use Yoki's own channel and personal links; for her history, the dated introductions and credited productions above provide a clearer sequence of reference points.
